Oliver Anthony to Make Grand Ole Opry Debut in December

In a whirlwind few months, Oliver Anthony, the artist behind the viral sensation “Rich Men North of Richmond,” is set to hit another career high with his debut at the Grand Ole Opry.

Anthony, who recently took social media by storm, shared the exciting news with fans, posting a photo with his guitar player, Joey Davis, in front of the Opry’s artist entrance. “You know what this means…” he teased alongside the image.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Dec. 16, as Anthony is primed to grace the Opry stage. The venue, responding in the comments, added to the anticipation with a simple, “See you so soon!”

For country artists, stepping into the Opry’s iconic circle is a career-defining moment, and Anthony will share the stage with Opry members Lauren Alaina and Jamey Johnson, among others.

This Opry debut is just one of the many highlights in Anthony’s breakout year. The singer, relatively unknown until August when he dropped “Rich Men North of Richmond” on social media, has since made waves in the music industry.

Notably, Anthony made history by debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 without any prior charting. He secured the third spot on the Billboard Artist 100, trailing only Taylor Swift and Travis Scott.

Looking forward, Anthony has big plans. His debut album, set for a January release, promises a unique touch – the entire album will be recorded outdoors. Additionally, fans can catch him live on the “Out of the Woods Tour” starting in February and running through September 2024.
