Nate Smith’s track “World on Fire” breaks a new record on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart for an unprecedented 10th consecutive week. This accomplishment ties with Morgan Wallen’s “You Proof,” which first claimed the top spot in October 2022, according to a report from Billboard.com.
The previous record for the longest Country Airplay command, at eight weeks each, was shared by two hits spanning nearly two decades: Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffett’s “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” in 2003 and Lonestar’s “Amazed” in 1999.
“World on Fire” follows the success of Smith’s previous chart-topper, “Whiskey on You,” a two-week leader in February of the preceding year.
When is Nate Smith going on tour?
Smith kicked off his headline WORLD ON FIRE TOUR last month, stopping in major cities across the country including Chicago, Indianapolis, and NYC. This spring and summer, he’ll join Morgan Wallen for his ONE NIGHT AT A TIME 2024 tour. Smith will also return to Stagecoach next year after his debut appearance at the festival this year.
