Reflecting on the angst she felt during Trump’s prior term, Cher revealed, “I almost got an ulcer the last time.” Cher, known for her staunch support for LGBTQ rights, pointed to the tumultuous events of Trump’s presidency, including the unsettling assault on the U.S. Capitol by Trump’s followers on January 6, 2021.
Considering Trump’s current leading position among the Republican contenders for the next presidential election, Cher is already planning ahead. She firmly stated, “If he gets in, who knows? This time I will leave [the country].” This isn’t the first time Cher has made such a vow; during the 2016 election, she had threatened to “leave the planet” if Trump were elected, showcasing her steadfast convictions.
